Defense and Armor

Basic TN to be hit is: Reflexes x 5 + 5

Armor is added to this total if it is being worn.
Ashigaru Armor: +3 TN Reduction: 1
Light Armor: +5 TN Reduction: 3 (All Agility and Reflexes +5 TN)
Heavy Armor: +10 TN Reduction: 5 (All Agility and Reflexes +5 TN)
Riding Armor: +4 or +12 TN Reduction: 4 (Acts like Heavy Armor unless on horse)

The Reduction Rating of armor is subtracted from all damage rolls.

Raises
A voluntary Raise adds +5 to the TN of a roll.
The most common use of a Raise is used to make a Maneuver on combat.
If you wish to try something unconventional or creative that is not covered in the rules then simply ask the GM how many Raises will be required to succeed.

A character can take a maximum number or Raises per roll equal to their Void Ring.

A Free Raise acts like a Raise without raising the TN. Unless otherwise specified a Free Raise can also be used to lower the TN by -5.
